The Political Authority of All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) has unanimously decided to suspend and take necessary disciplinary action against the three Parliamentarians who voted for the Budget 2022 in contradiction to the decision of the Party.
Except for the party leader Rishad Bathiudeen, the other three MPs- S. M. M. Muszhaaraff, Ali Sabri Raheem and Ishak Rahuman voted in favour of the budget despite clear instructions given by the party to vote against it.
Accordingly, the party has decided to suspend them and initiate disciplinary inquiry against them immediately, the party said in a statement.
