A Special Task Force (STF) sergeant and another person have been killed over a personal dispute in the Giriulla area, Police said.
The two persons aged 41 and 39 years succumbed to their injuries at the hospital on Sunday.
In a separate incident a 61 year old woman had been killed by the domestic aide in the Wellampitiya area.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
