Unidentified persons broke into a birthday party in a house in Vavuniya and attacked the inmates and invitees killing a 21 year old girl and injuring nine others before setting the house on fire on Saturday night, Police said.
Among the injured were a two year old boy and two girls below 18 years
The house was severely damaged in the fire though it was later controlled by Urban Council fire fighters from Vavuniya.
