The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) had unearthed more details about the gunman involved in Ganemulla Sanjeewa's murder.
The suspect identified as Samindu Dilshan Piyumanga Kandanarachchi (27)has been revealed to be the shooter involved in the incident of shooting at a house in the Veediya Mawatha area of the Kadana Police Division. The suspect who was also identified as an organized criminal, had used a T-56 firearm during the shooting that occurred on 13.12.2024 and fled.
The police had unravelled that that shooting was also carried out under the direction of an organized criminal residing abroad.
The CCD is currently investigating the suspect who acted as the shooter in the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa after detaining the suspect under a 90-day detention order.
However, the female accomplice, identified as Ishara Sewwandi, who is alleged to have planned Ganemulla Sanjeewa’s murder has been evading arrest since the incident.
