COVID-19 death toll increased to 579
With four COVID -19 related deaths reported yesterday, the total death toll from the disease increased to 579, according to the Ministry of Health.
The office of the Director General of Health Services said there were four COVID-19 related deaths reported yesterday. All four victims were from Ekiriya, Homagama, Puwakpitiya, Colombo -14.
Meanwhile 98 COVID-19 fresh cases detected today so far, bringing the total number of cases to 93,226. The active infection count remain at 2,630.
