Seven COVID-19 deaths were reported on Sunday (28) increasing the death toll from the virus to 471, the Government Information Department said.
A 56 year old male from Kurunegala, a 55 year old male from Anuradhapura, a 59 year old male from Gampaha, a 79 year old female from Rukgahavila in Gampaha, a 51 year old male from Demalagama in Gampaha, an 81 year old from Colombo 05 and an 87 year old from Pannipitiya died from COVID pneumonia and complications from both the virus and underlying health conditions.
Meanwhile, another 350 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday increasing the total number of confirmed infected persons to 79,089.
