The country recorded its highest daily COVID death toll (to-date) with 156 confirmed deaths on Thursday (12), the Health Ministry said.
The death numbers issued yesterday increase the total number of deaths since the first wave to 5,620.
For the first time, Sri Lanka’s daily COVID positive cases exceeded 3,000 mark with 3039 cases reported on Thursday.
