COVID death toll increases to 598 with two more deaths reported today

Another two deaths were reported today increasing the number of COVID-19 deaths to 598, the Government Information Department said.

One of the deceased is a 72 year old male resident in Baddegama. The cause of death is mentioned as blood poisoning shock, high blood pressure and COVID Pneumonia.

The other deceased is a 60 year old female resident in Puttalam.
