Another four more COVID-19 related deaths were reported today increasing the number of COVID-19 deaths to 608, the Government Information Department said.
1. The deceased is a 62 year old male resident in Pannipitiya. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 virus while undergoing treatments at Colombo South Teaching Hospital and transferred to Mulleriyawa Base Hospital where he died on April 12. The cause of death is mentioned as kidney and liver disease associated with COVID infection.
02. The deceased is a 72 year old female resident in Ellakkala. She was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 while undergoing treatments at Wathupitiwela Base hospital and transferred to Minuwangoda Base Hospital where she died on April 14. The cause of death is mentioned COVID 19 Pneumonia.
03. The deceased is a 78 year old male resident in Kapuliyada. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 and transferred from Marassana District Hospital to Kandy General Hospital where he died on April 14. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID Pneumonia, Hypertension and heart disease.
04.. The deceased is a 34 year old male resident in Deniyaya. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 while undergoing treatments at Cancer Hospital Maharagama and transferred to National Institute of Infectious Diseases where he died on April 14. The cause of death is COVID 19 pneumonia and leukemia.
