An acre extent Cannabis cultivation in the Weheragala reserve at Gonagan Ara, Kataragama was raided by Sri Lanka Army’s 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops recently.
The Army said the operation has been conducted jointly with Wildlife Officers and the Police and destroyed the illegal cultivation. The Gonagan Ara Police are conducting further investigations.
