The Meteorology Department predicted that the prevailing dry weather condition in the island is expected to temporarily change on Monday and Tuesday.
Accordingly Showers may occur at several places in the island, particularly in Eastern and Uva provinces during those days.
Apart from that they said that few showers may occur in Eastern coastal areas tomorrow during night time. In addition Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Galle, Matara, Kalutara and Rathnapura districts in the evening or night.
The Yala National Park has been closed until further notice in view of the heavy rains experienced in the area, Warden of the park Manoj Vidyaratne said.
