A man who passed away at Kandy hospital had been identified as Covid positive, Kandy hospital sources said yesterday (23).
The hospital said that the patient identified as 65 year old resident at Eth Gala area in Gampola was admitted to Kandy National Hospital as he was suffering from breathing difficulties due to lung related ailment.
However, when the post death PCR test was conducted on the deceased patient it was confirmed that the he was Covid positive.
