Suspended Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon is due to surrender to the Matara Magistrate's Court today (19), highly placed sources told Timesonline.
The move follows the Court of Appeal dismissing his writ petition seeking an interim injunction preventing the execution of the arrest order issued by the Matara Magistrate's Court against him in connection with a shooting incident that took place outside the W 15 hotel in Weligama in 2023.
