A total of Rs.2684 million has been transferred from the Treasury to all the District Secretariats for the month of July to be paid for kidney patients, differently-abled persons and low-income elders, State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe said.
Accordingly, elders' allowance will be available to the beneficiaries from the post offices. In contrast, he said differently-abled and kidney patients allowance will be issued through Divisional Secretariats from August 25 (Friday) onwards.
