Founder and Chairman of Kin Kusala Gaweshi Society, retired Zonal Education Director Sarath Senanayaka today donated a sum of Rs. 2 million which he had earned through his writing and lecturing commitments to the President's Fund.
Mr Senanayaka handed presented the donation to President's Secretary Saman Ekanayake.
Mr Ekanayake said that the donation will go towards providing prosthetic limbs to women in the north and east who had lost their limbs during the war.
Secretary to the President's Fund and Additional Secretary (Finance) at the Presidential Secretariat W.A. Sarath Kumara, Secretary of the Kin Kusala Gaweshi Society A.B. Wickramasinghe and former Secretary for Youth Affairs of Kin Kusala Gaweshi Society Attorney-at-Law Piyathilaka Muthugama were also present on the occasion.
