Former Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board Vijitha Herath is to return to his previous post to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of M.C.C. Ferdinando, reliable official sources revealed.
He is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation.
He also holds the Chairmanship of Sri Lanka Podujana Engineers Front, an engineering association with more than 5000 members. Meanwhile Piyadasa Kudabalage, a former MD/ CEO of the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation is to be appointed as the Chairman of the corporation under the present circumstances, official sources said.
