Leader of Tamil National Peoples’ Front (TNPF) and former Parliamentarian Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam was taken into custody by Nelliyadi police over violating election regulations, police said.
He was taken into custody while engaged in canvassing in the area. Currently, he is detained at the police station.
