The Colombo District Court issued a ruling extending the interim injunction that barred former President Maithripala Sirisena from holding the position of Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) until May 29.
This order was made after the court heard a plaint today (9) that former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga had submitted.
An enjoining order prohibiting former Mr. Sirisena from serving as the SLFP chairman was issued by the Colombo District Court on April 4.
