Occasional rains are predicted for Eastern, Uva, and North-central Provinces along with Nuwara Eliya District, the Department of Meteorology said.
A few showers are due in Northern Province and in Hambantota District.
Showers or thundershowers are likely at certain areas in the remaining areas of the island after 1:00 pm, a Duty Meteorologist of the Met. Department said.
Moderately heavy rainfall over 75mm is possible at a few places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva Provinces in addition to Galle and Matara Districts.
Besides, parts of Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva Provinces will have misty mornings.
