Showers or thundershowers are predicted for multiple areas in the island today (31) after 2:00 pm, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Eastern, Uva and North-central Provinces as well as Mullaitivu and Matale Districts will have occasional rains.
Fairly heavy rainfall over 75mm is possible over Uva, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces plus in Ampara District.
Parts of Central, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces besides Galle and Matara Districts will have misty mornings.
Most of the island will see cloudy skies today, the Met. Department further noted.
