A fire that broke out in Hamilton Estate in Maskeliya was doused with the aid of Bell 412 aircraft, Air Force Media Spokesman Group Captain Eranda Geeganage said.
He confirmed that 10 Bambi buckets had been used to douse the fire upon the request of the Nuwara Eliya Disaster Management Center (DMC)
"Ground officials confirmed that the operation was effective" the spokesman said.
