Former Army Commander Daya Ratnayake’s entry to the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has sparked off a fresh dispute in the party with sections opposing his entry.
The Chairman of the SJB, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka himself has expressed displeasure with several others joining in.
This was the second incident where there has been displeasure over the new entries to the party.
Earlier the decision to allow former SLPP member Nalaka Godahewa also caused displeasure among some of the members.
Field Marshal Fonseka told reporters today that he was surprised that General Ratnayake opted to join the party adding that he was also linked to the court martial case against him.
