Former Mannar Bishop Rayappu Joseph passes away

News

Former Bishop of Mannar Rayappu Joseph has passed away this morning at the age of 80.

He passed away at a private hospital in Jaffna, where he had been receiving treatment for a prolonged illness.

He was a native of Delft island on April 16, 1940. In July 1992 he was appointed Bishop of Mannar and was ordained as a bishop in October 1992. (PCK)
