Former Minister Kanchana provide update on latest fuel reserves

Former Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera noted on X, formerly Twitter, on the latest update on the on the country’s latest fuel reserves.

He provides this with a records of the status of energy, and fuel stocks at the time of resignation.

Former Minister has further stated that, he had returned his state vehicles, his office.

He also mentioned that he already provided a final detailed update of the status of the responsibilities within his purview stating, “All the institutes are now on positive balance sheets, recovering costs for its services, making payments on time for suppliers, servicing outstanding debt and providing & supporting the treasury with the additional revenue it’s generating”.

Stock details for all CPSTL and CPC plants as at 20/09/2024 stood as follows –

Diesel – 123,888 MT

Sup. Diesel – 13,627 MT

92 Pet – 90,972 MT

95 Pet – 18,729 MT

JET A1 – 30,295 MT
