The Ratnapura High Court has sentenced former Senior DIG Lalith Jayasinghe for five years imprisonment for intimidating Kahawatte OIC not to arrest MP Premalal Jayasekera over a shooting incident.
The shooing incident took place during the 2015 Presidential election campaign.
A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
