The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has issued a warning to the Health Ministry Secretary over his failure to acquire the official vehicles used by former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who is currently in remand custody.
The Commission has also directed the Health Ministry Secretary to take over the official residence used by the former Minister.
The Director General of CIABOC W.K.D. Wijeratne, has warned the Health Ministry Secretary by letter that action would be initiated against him, if he fails to report by May 14 on the action taken to recover the vehicles and official residence.
The letter says that the Secretary has already failed to report the progress by May 6 as earlier required.
