The Teachers-Principals Trade Union Alliance held a protest opposite the Colombo Fort Railway Station this afternoon demanding that their long-standing salary anomaly issue be resolved.
The protest was held as part of a new strategy of the alliance to continue their trade union action whilst reporting to work and engaging in a 'work-to-rule' campaign. Teachers in primary classes from Grade 1 to 5 reported to work today after the Government reopened primary classes in all schools.
