Protests were held today (December 6) islandwide against privatization.
The Ceylon Electricity Board employees protested at their head office at Fort while the Ports Authority employees protested opposite the Port. 
The Department of National Zoological Gardens is readying enclosures to quarantine two large tortoises that were found stranded 15 kilometers westwards off Pitipana Negombo, today.
