In pictures: DS honoured with flowers
The first Prime Minister of independent Sri Lanka the Late D.S. Senanayake was honoured with floral tributes at his statue at the Independence Square yesterday (4) to mark the 73rd Independence Day celebrations. Minister NimalSiripala de silva, Minister Gamini Lokuge, Former Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene, UNP General Secretary Palitha Ranga Bandara, Colombo Mayor Rosy Senanayake and other invitees paid floral tribute to the late Premier’s statue.
