Sri Lanka Customs Narcotics Control Unit arrested an Indian National with 2.8 kg of Heroin Worth Rs. 84.96 Million at BIA.
A 32 year old barber had arrived from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia aboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL 315, which landed at 4:30 p.m. on 26.10.2025 at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
Upon inspection, Customs officers discovered the narcotics concealed within a false bottom of the suspect’s checked luggage.
The seized heroin is valued at approximately Rs. 84.96 million.
The Narcotics Control Unit of Sri Lanka Customs is conducting further investigations, and the suspect along with the confiscated narcotics will be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for onward legal action.
