Isolation in several areas in Akkaraipattu police division lifted
Akkaraipattu 05 grama niladhari (GN) division, Akkaraipattu 14 GN division, Akkaraipattu city limits, Palamunai 01 GN division, Oluvil 2 GN division Addalachchenai 8 GN division, Akkaraipattu 8/1 GN division, Akkaraipattu 8/3 GN division, Akkaraipattu 9 GN division in Akkaraipattu police have been declared free from isolation from today (06) morning, the National Operations Centre for the Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 said.
Meanwhile, Bamunugama Diwanawatte GN division in Pujapitiya police area and Moragala GN division in Eheliyagoda GN division have been declared as isolated with immediate effect following increasing numbers of COVID positive cases.
On Tuesday (05), a 68 year old female from Matale and a 75 year old female from Kalutara died from COVID related respiratory complications, the Director General of Health Services confirmed.
Another 479 COVID positive cases were detected yesterday increasing the total number of cases from the Divulapitiya, Peliyagoda COVID clusters to 41,977.
