Mahajana Eksath Peramuna (MEP) requested the Elections Commission to inform the political parties regarding the Presidential Election today.
General Secretary of the MEP, Attorney at Law Tissa Jayawardena Yapa met Chairman of the Elections Commission Mr. R.M.A.L. Rathnayake and Director General Mr. Saman Sri Rathnayake today at the Election Secretariat at Rajagiriya, and made this request in writing.
In this request, it was stated to inform all political parties regarding the existing constitutional provisions, legal situation and administrative process of the Presidential Election regarding the upcoming Presidential Election in 2024, and to hold an immediate discussion summoning all the political parties in that regard.
