A 33-year-old man from Beliatte was arrested after a foreign manufactured T56, a magazine and live ammunition were recovered from his house in Dammulla, Beliatte area, police said.
The suspect is to be produced before Tangalle Magistrate today (17).
Meanwhile, another 28-year-old from Balangoda was arrested over the possession of a locally manufactured gun, Balangoda police said.
