A fifty one year old man was shot and injured at Walasgala area in Dickwella this morning.
The 51-year-old was shot when he was about to take his child to school.
It is reported that the gunman had come in a car to shoot and the victim has been admitted to the Bathigama hospital in Dickwella.
No arrests have been made so far by the Police.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
