Former Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera has tested positive for the COVID-19, his office confirmed.
He is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital. His staff also have been directed to self-quarantine by health authorities.
Meanwhile, State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera also said that he too, tested positive today following PCR test carried out yesterday.
