More aid flowed in to assist victims of the landslides and flooding, officials said today.
The assistance included two-way Bailey bridge components, five dinghy boats, five medical staff and 20 engineers from India. The personnel and goods landed in Sri Lanka today to support ongoing disaster relief operations.
Also, the People's Republic of China donated a stock of life jackets, tents, blankets, and bed sheets weighing 84,525 kilograms.
The United Arab Emirates provided a stock of tents and baggage weighing 13,482 kilograms.
According to the Disaster Management Center, the death toll has increased to 635 deaths and 192 missing persons reported due to the adverse weather conditions.
