More than 150,000 persons have been affected by floods caused by heavy rains in 12 districts and three deaths have been reported, officials said today.
The adverse weather conditions have forced the closure of schools in several areas in the Western province.
All schools in the Colombo Educational Zones closed today due to bad weather.
Some of the schools in Gampaha too will remain closed.
The Meteorological Department warned that heavy rains will continue for the next two to three days.
