Police have cautioned motorist to be cautious driving on the upcountry routes in the wake of an increase of accidents in the area.
In the latest accident reported today a private bus travelling at high speed collided with a state run Transport Board in Watawala on the Hatton – Colombo road.
Four persons were injured in the incident when the private bus heading to Kandy from Hatton collided with the SLTB bus travelling from Ginigathhena to Hatton.
The private bus was damaged severely in the accident.
Police said motorists have to be careful due to the slippery road conditions due to the rains experienced in the area these days.
