Chairman of the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) Prof. Muditha Vidhanapathirana resigned from his post citing personal reasons.
He was appointed to the post by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on January 1 this year.
Currently, he holds the position of Chair Professor of Forensic Medicine since 2016.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
