The Navy discovered 606kg of Kendu leaves adrift in Mattutivu Island in Kalpitiya lagoon yesterday(24).
The Kendu leaves were in 19 sacks floating in the lagoon.
The seized consignment of Kendu leaves were taken into naval custody and later will be handed over to the authorities for further investigations.
