Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has established a new Surfing Club in Panama recently. The new facility established at the Panama beach was declared open by Commander Southeastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha Gamage on Oct 25, Navy said.
Established with the aim to promote surfing in Panama and as a sport in the Command, the sporting facility had been constructed by utilizing available resources and skilled manpower of the Navy, the news added.
Panama on the eastern coast is a popular tourist destination and haven for surfing on the island.
