Rukdevi Fernando has been appointed the new Commissioner General of Inland Revenue.
The appointment was approved by Cabinet on a proposal submitted by the President Anura Kumara Dissanyake in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.
Ms. Fernando joined the Inland Revenue Service as an assessor in 1999 and was promoted to Senior Assessor, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner and Senior Commissioner.
She also served in a special grade position (as a Deputy Commissioner General). She will is assume official duties tomorrow, 20.03.2025, as the 39th Commissioner General of the Department.
