New legal system to protect heritage of A’Pura: President
The President Ranil Wickremesinghe has stressed the need to introduce a new legal system to safeguard the historical heritage of Anuradhapura.
The President also highlighted plans for the Maha Vihara and Anuradhapura Pooja Land Development.
He said additionally, a dedicated committee will be established to oversee the implementation of the Maha Vihara Development Plan.
President Wickremesinghe on Saturday presided over a meeting in Anuradhapura to discuss the development plan for the sacred city in Anuradhapura and the Maha Viharaya.
