New two phase-level Health Guidelines issued to bring normalcy

The Health Ministry has issued fresh guidelines to re-open the country from tomorrow onwards under two-phase scheme in order to bring the nation into normalcy after six weeks of continuous lockdown. 

Under the guidelines issued by the Ministry, only wedding registration events will be allowed from October 1 to 15 after which wedding functions to be allowed with the participation of a maximum of 50 people depending on the capacity of the hall.

Only 10 participants will be allowed to participate in funerals at one time from tomorrow up to October 15. Thereafter, a maximum of 15 persons could participate in funerals under COVID-19 regulations. 

However, traveling between provinces would be restricted even though the quarantine curfew is lifted from tomorrow. Mobile vendors are also allowed to engage in business with the approval of respective medical health officers.

Meanwhile, economic centres across the country would also be allowed to remain open under the supervision of provincial committees as well as provincial health officials.

The highlights in the fresh guidelines are as follows: 

*Tuition classes - No permission to open
*Exhibition and Seminars : No permission granted 
*Funerals - Non COVID19 - Only t0 persons at any given time (until Oct 15th) Thereafter (until Oct 31) 15 persons
*Religious activities : No activities involving gatherings 
*Walking paths, beaches : Open
*Gymnasiums : Until Oct 15th - only five persons at a time. Thereafter 10 persons at a time (until Oct 31)
* Courts: According to Judicial Service guidelines 
*Pre-schools : 50 per cent of the capacity
*Day care centres : Open
*Saloons and Beauty Parlours:: Only by appointment
*Agricultural Activities : Permitted
*Construction work: Permitted
*Supper markets,shops, pharmacies, furniture shops: 10 per cent of the capacity (Until Oct 15)  20 per cent of capacity thereafter until Oct 31
*Financial Institutions including banks: Only five persons at a given time.
*Mobile vendors: Regional committees can decide under health guidelines
*Resturants (Take away and delivery) - Permitted
*Resturants dining in - (Seating arrangement in the open encouraged)- Until Oct 15 no permission . Thereafter until Oct 31 - 30 per cent of the capacity upto to 50 persons- No liquor allowed and if seating arrangements are in the open 60 persons can be accomodated)
*Parties including home functions: Not permitted
*Seminars and Workshops (encouraged to have online ) Only a maximum of 25 persons with a maximum of 25 per cent of the capacity. After Oct 15 can be increased to 50 persons
