One killed after fire destroys shop in Minneriya
One person has been killed due to a fire that gutted a retail shop in Minneriya yesterday (8).
Police said the 71-year-old victim from Jayanthipura was admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital after suffering serious burn injuries.
The body is lying at the mortuary of the Polonnaruwa Hospital and Minneriya Police are conducting further investigations.
