The closure of the Kandy – Colombo road at Pahala Kadugannwa will be continued as the threat of possible landslides continues, officials said.
The Road Development Authority met with the District Secretariat officials of Kegalle following an inspection visit in the area and decided that the road should remain closed.
Measures were being taken to pump out the water from the area by inserting pipes into the area.
The road was closed last Wednesday (10).
