A resolution to appoint a committee of inquiry for the removal of Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Tennakoon will be taken up in parliament on April 8.
The resolution signed by 115 MPs was handed over to the Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne last month.
This motion was submitted under Section 5 of the Removal of Officers (Procedure) Act No. 5 of 2002.
