Police are hunting a gang of thieves who broke into four different kovils in Vavuniya last night and stole money from donation boxes inside.
Investigators believe that one group was responsible for all four break-ins and noted that the thieves had also damaged property at kovils during the robberies.
The thieves remain unidentified and investigations have been launched to arrest them.
