The Inspector General of Police has advised the Police to only investigate schools where information regarding drugs have been received.
“Earlier the Police investigated based on complaints from parents and principals, but due to the opposition and the inappropriateness to investigate children unnecessarily, we were advised so”, the Police Spokesman, Nihal Thalduwa told to the Sunday Times.
According to the advice, only schools from which information has been received in regard to drugs, can be investigated by the Police.
