Police use water cannons to disperse protest

A protest staged by the Socialist Youth Union at Town Hall in Colombo was dispersed by the Police, a shortwhile ago.

Police used water cannons to disperse the gathering.

Earlier police warned the protesters to withdraw.

Later, the protestors organized a meeting at Viharamahadevi Park.
